Mogao Grottoes

Getting There - You can drive yourself or take a taxi to the entrance hall of the Mogao Grottoes, there you get onto a shuttle bus that takes you to the Grottoes. Attractions - At the entrance Hall of the Mogao Grottoes is a big shop where you can buy souvenirs all inspired from the Grottoes. There's two 'movies' of about 20minutes each about the Mogao Grottoes that they show you, then you move on to the shuttle bus that takes you to the Mogao Grottoes. Each group get a tour guide that show the group 4 different Grottoes, as well as the biggest 'inside' Buddha and reclining Buddha. (You are not allowed to take photos inside the Grottoes) Hotels - There are hotel about 16km from the Grottoes. There's hotels you can choose according to your preference on Trip.com Food & Restaurants - There's restaurants to get food and drinks. Our favourite coffee shop were the one with the dog🐶😁 The dog that inspired the shop is sometimes there. Shopping - There's shops to buy food, drinks and souvenirs.
