Patagonia, Argentina, a paradise for mountaineering enthusiasts

This time, I flew to El Calafate in Argentina to hike in order to create a prototype for the Patagonia logo. Laguna de los Tres is one of the most popular hiking routes in El Chaltén, Argentina. The hiking route is about 20 kilometers and takes about 8 to 10 hours round trip. The whole process requires adapting to the alpine terrain and changeable weather, but the scenery along the way is well worth the challenge. This trail is considered a moderate to difficult hike. Although most of the road is flat, there are steep uphill sections near the lake, which require a certain amount of physical strength and endurance. Especially in the last few hundred meters uphill, the road surface is sometimes rugged and some places require climbing using both hands and feet. When you reach the lake, you will see a beautiful panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains, glaciers and the lake, which makes all the hard work worth it. Note: In mountainous areas, the weather changes very quickly. It is recommended to dress in an onion style, wear a windbreaker as the outermost layer, and prepare enough water and food. Especially in the fall and winter, when the weather is likely to become colder and windier, it is especially important to prepare windproof and warm gear. Sightseeing along the way: During the hike, visitors can also enjoy the beautiful views of Laguna Sucia and Laguna de los Tres.
