I took my wife and daughter on a weekend trip to Mount Emei, specifically to No. 12, Group 6, Baoguo Village, Huangwan Township. This place turned out to be a true hidden gem. We stayed at the Emei Bamboo Private Hot Spring Homestay. Although the journey from Shanghai, flying to Chengdu and then transferring, was a bit tiring, all our fatigue vanished the moment we laid eyes on this homestay. 🌸 Tranquil Moments Amidst Bamboo Upon entering the homestay, we were immediately captivated by the gently flowing stream and the surrounding emerald bamboo. The homestay's design is simple yet elegant, like a pearl nestled in the mountains, offering a sense of relaxation and comfort. The rooms are well-equipped, and the private hot spring pool is a true highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the sun was pure bliss. 🍃 Thoughtful Butler Service, A Home Away From Home The butler's service was incredibly attentive. Not only did they help us plan our Mount Emei itinerary, but they also recommended several local specialties, such as Linjiang Eel and the unique Emei "Ka" Pancake. They were absolutely delicious. In the evening, the butler even prepared a late-night snack for us, making us feel right at home. 🏞️ Scenic Surroundings, Just Steps Away The homestay is located very close to Baoguo Temple, within walking distance. The temple's bell chimes harmonize beautifully with the surrounding natural scenery, offering a truly purifying experience. If you're looking to venture further, you can drive to Wuxiangang Station or the Mount Emei Tourist Transportation Center to embark on your Mount Emei adventure. 🍲 A Foodie's Paradise, A Feast for the Senses Speaking of food, Mount Emei's culinary scene is not to be missed. The Maluqiao Food Street is a dazzling array of snacks, especially the Bobo Chicken and "Qiaojiao" Beef, a perfect pairing. If you don't feel like going out in the evening, the homestay's breakfast is a great option, offering a variety of nutritious choices to fuel your day.
