Holagan Island ｜ Sandoy Island

On the fourth day in the Faroe Islands, today we will go to Sandoy Island south of Torshavn. We set off at nine in the morning. Today we have to drive for fifteen minutes to the pier south of Torshavn and take the car ferry to Sandoy. The ferry leaves at ten o'clock, so we have some time to visit the places south of Torshavn for sightseeing and photography. After arriving at the pier, our private car drove into the ferry and parked it, and then we went to the cabin and sat down. The people on the ferry knew I was from Hong Kong and treated me warmly. The captain even gave up his seat for me to take a photo. After about half an hour's sail, we arrived at the magnificent Sandoy. Sandoy is a beautiful, peaceful, simple and uninhabited island. There is not a single shop or coffee shop near the pier. You must have a private car to travel around this island. The locals took us to visit all the villages in Sandoy. The interesting thing is that everyone stayed in their own homes. We didn’t see anyone during the trip. It was as if we were walking in an abandoned village. What would they do if they stayed at home all day? So interesting! We then went to a small village called Husavik, where we could see houses and historical relics from more than 500 years ago.
