When you come to Florence, you absolutely cannot miss the classic delicacy of T-bone steak. That day, I happened to pass by Trattoria Mario and was very lucky to get a seat right when the restaurant opened. This restaurant is known for its cozy family-style atmosphere and has been a culinary pilgrimage spot for locals and tourists alike since its establishment. The restaurant insists on using fresh ingredients from Tuscany, and the menu changes daily based on the supply from the central market, ensuring that every dish is full of seasonal flavors. The T-bone steak here is definitely one of the highlights! It uses top-quality beef from the Tuscany region, cooked in the simplest way, with a crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior. Compared to another famous restaurant, Trattoria Dall'Oste, I prefer the steak at Trattoria Mario—the meat is more tender, the flavor is purer, and you can really taste the original aroma of the beef. Highly recommended! I personally don't quite understand the other home-style dishes, but just for the steak, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. One more thing to remind everyone! Trattoria Mario only serves lunch, and the business hours are roughly from noon to 2 PM.
