Huangshan + Jiangxi 9 Days 8 Nights Pure Tips Sharing 🙇🏻‍♀️ 🚗💨 GO GO GO, let's go～ The transportation for this trip was the most headache-inducing 😵‍💫 After comprehensive comparison, I booked a sleeper train to Hefei, then from Hefei South to Yixian East, arriving by noon the next day. Multiple high-speed trains shuttle between cities during the trip; see picture 15 for specific train numbers. 🌅 Final version of the travel route: ⛰️Day 1: Yixian East - Check in at Hongcun - Casual stroll ⛰️Day 2: Climb Huangshan - Stay at Bright Summit Peak ⛰️Day 3: Descend - Hongcun - Xidi 🎆Day 4: Wuyuan - Xiangao Ancient City - Wunvzhou 🌶️Day 5: Morning at Huangling - Afternoon in Jingdezhen - Taoxichuan 🍶Day 6: Yaoli Ancient Town - Mud play experience - Taoda Youth Market 🍶Day 7: China Ceramics Museum (reservation required) - Sculpture Porcelain Factory - Taoyang New Village Night Market 🚩Day 8: Bayi Square - Jiangxi Art Museum - Wanshou Palace Snack Street - Tengwang Pavilion ✈️Day 9: Go home 🚌 Travel between scenic spots: 1️⃣ Yixian East - Hongcun: There is a travel agency bus at the high-speed rail exit for 13 RMB/person. After getting off, contact the hotel owner directly for pickup. 2️⃣ Hongcun - Huangshan: Opposite the West Exit Tourist Center of Hongcun Scenic Area is the Yixian Bus Station, with departures every 15-30 minutes. After getting off, find the South Gate transfer station entrance behind a gas station. ps: The bus station can take you to Huangshan North Station, Xidi, Yixian East Station, Tunxi Airport. If you don’t want to transfer by high-speed train, you can also choose a direct bus to Huangshan North Station, then go to Wuyuan. 3️⃣ Wunvzhou - Huangling: On the right side of the Wunvzhou Scenic Area entrance, there is a big tree with a sign: Didi Station Bus (ticket purchase process and departure times attached). Buy the next day’s ticket directly during the previous day’s visit or carpool for 25 RMB/person. 4️⃣ Yaoli Ancient Town: Take a taxi to Fuliang Bus Station where there is a fixed-route shuttle bus. Scan the code to buy a ticket for 6 RMB/person after boarding. ❗️❗️ Scenic Spot Tips: 1️⃣ The currently open Tiandu Peak in Huangshan requires a reservation 2 days in advance. I forgot 😭 See hiking route map 13. Did not go to West Sea Grand Canyon; Yun Valley and Yuping are accessible by cable car. If you’re not a super athlete, this is a good choice 🌟 2️⃣ At the ticket window of the South Gate transfer station in Huangshan, buying tickets will default to adding scenic area accident insurance (5 or 10 RMB). The normal ticket price is 19 RMB/person. Pay attention to the amount when scanning the code to avoid being overcharged 😅 3️⃣ Remember to bring hiking poles. Wooden ones cost 3 RMB at Hongcun entrance, 20 RMB in the scenic area. The closer you get, the more expensive they are 🥹 4️⃣ The iron flower and fire pot performances at Wunvzhou will be canceled in rainy weather with no refunds. We happened to have cloudy weather and bought tickets after seeing no rain around 6 pm. 5️⃣ Taoda Youth Market seems to be open only Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 16:00 to 21:00. We arrived at 19:00 when many vendors were already packing up. There are both indoor and outdoor stalls. ps: Youth Market features original artisans, Taoxichuan offers boutique items, Sculpture Porcelain Factory mid-to-low range, Taoyang New Village mass-produced goods. 6️⃣ The Ceramics Museum allows entry half an hour before the reservation time. Be sure to arrive early! Even in the off-season, it’s crowded. Start from the top floor to see the silent Buddha in reverse order. 7️⃣ Jiangxi Art Museum currently only opens halls 1, 2, and 6. It’s right opposite Bayi Square, so no need to go out of your way to see it.
