To change my gloomy mood, I visited Gangneung, the hometown of my husband and I :) I lived in Gangneung for about 2 years, but I didn't live there for long, but I served in the military in Gangneung, and I inherited the blood of the Gangneung Kim family, so there are many things that are intertwined like fate, so whenever I'm having a hard time, I often go to Gangneung. This time, I came here a little suddenly! Although it's a sudden visit, I've planned it meticulously and will introduce the places I want to show you in a short time. The first place my husband and I started our Gangneung trip was #Terrarosa #CoffeeFactory! My wife had been there a few times when she lived in Gangneung, and this is my first time here. It's quite far from downtown Gangneung, so it's better to go there by car or rented car. You can go by regular bus, but... you have to wait for the bus, and it takes a long time, so it's inconvenient. Terrarosa is a coffee shop representing Gangneung. You can see chain cafes quite often in Gangneung City and Coffee Street, and these days, even Costco sells Terrarosa coffee. It is a popular Korean coffee that is loved by many people for many reasons ^^. The price was a little more expensive than Starbucks, but I think it was worth it. The Terrarosa Coffee Factory that I visited was a place like a Terrarosa comprehensive cultural space with hand-drip coffee + Terrarosa souvenir goods shop + coffee museum + outdoor terrace + restaurant. After leaving the Terrarosa Art Shop, I went to the main building to drink hand-drip coffee. When I first went to the main building, my wife was amazed, saying, "There's a cafe this big!" But now, she says that it feels small because she's been to so many big cafes. Haha But it's definitely not a small cafe. No, in fact, I think there's no cafe this big in Gangneung. The original Terrarosa main branch has now moved to this coffee factory, so it can be called the face of Terrarosa. We tasted two of them, Burundi #Carinji and #Peruadan, which won awards in the competition. I didn't study coffee in depth, but even a single drop of coffee has a deep flavor and the aroma lingers for a long time. I remember it being more savory than other coffees, so it was fun. It felt like the coffee had a strong potential, just like drinking wine. ㅎㅎ I endured the coffee by driving for 3 hours just to drink Terrarosa coffee and holding back sleep! It felt like my fatigue was gone more than ever! I usually drink coffee after lunch, but I arrived in Gangneung with more time than lunchtime, and I wanted to relieve my fatigue, so I think it was a really appropriate schedule.
