Cloud Stairs and Mountain Air, Gwaebangsan Was a Dream

#summervacay Took a hike up Gwaebangsan in Gangneung, Gangwon-do, and let me just say, it was so worth it. The trail starts off mellow, but once you gain a bit of altitude, you’re rewarded with these wide-open ridgelines that seriously feel like you’re walking on clouds. The wind up there? Fresh and kinda dramatic in the best way. It’s not the toughest hike out there, but it gives you just enough of a workout to earn that view. The real kicker is the scenery, rolling green hills, distant peaks, and sky that seems way too big to be real. Bring a camera or you’ll regret it! There were a few hikers around, but it still felt peaceful, like the mountain was letting us in on a little secret. Definitely bring snacks and take your time soaking it all in. Gwaebangsan isn't super famous, but it’s got major hidden gem energy. Loved every second of it.
