Big Name, Bigger Views, Zero Regrets

#summervacay Okay, first off, yeah, Gwittaegicheongbong peak is a mouthful to say, but dang, the hike is so worth it. Tucked away and not super mainstream, this mountain gave off total hidden gem vibes from the start. The trail was peaceful with that fresh pine smell and soft forest floor that makes every step feel kinda floaty. As I climbed, the trail got steeper and a little wild in spots, but it kept things fun. No boring stretches here, just rocks, roots, switchbacks, and random views peeking through the trees. When I finally hit the summit, I was straight-up stunned. Massive mountain layers, clouds drifting low, and a breeze that hit just right. No noise, no rush, just full-on nature. Didn’t see many other hikers either, which made it feel like my own little mountaintop. If you're into lesser-known peaks with big payoffs and a bit of solitude, Gwittaegicheongbong is absolutely worth tracking down. Name might be long, but the memories? Even bigger.
