At this time, Oda Nobunaga used the seal of Tenka Fubu (meaning the unification of the world) and changed his self-proclaimed name to Yu (meaning "I" or "me"), so the change of Mino to Gifu was probably a reference to the story of King Wen of Zhou coming out of Mount Qi to pacify the world as the origin of the Oda family's unification of the world. Gifu is also the only prefecture in Japan whose name is derived from a Chinese place name. From the station to the Nagara River, except for the station, the other areas are deserted.
