Lotus Peaks & Laid-back Trails, Yeonhwasan

#summervacay Checked out Yeonhwasan, and honestly? Super underrated. The hike is just the right mix of chill and slightly challenging, perfect for when you want a little workout but also wanna enjoy the scenery. The trail starts with forest paths that feel really peaceful, like walking through a green tunnel. Then it slowly opens up to some rocky sections with cool views. There are a few steep parts but nothing too wild, you’ll break a sweat, but you won’t cry about it. The name “Yeonhwasan” means “lotus flower mountain,” and the summit area kinda does give off that soft, floral vibe, especially if you catch it during wildflower season. I took my time up there, snacked on some trail food, and just stared out at all the surrounding hills and villages below. Totally low-key, not crowded at all, and the kind of hike that leaves you smiling without destroying your legs. If you’re in Goseong, Yeonhwasan is 100% worth the walk.
