Horaiken Restaurant Nagasaki

#newyearnewtrip I love Chinese food when I am overseas, perhaps it is because it reminds me of home cooked food and it also my comfort food which I am familiar with. In nagasaki Japan, they are heavily influenced by the Chinese culture, including their food. That is why I am extremely happy when I chanced upon Horaiken restaurant which is a Chinese Japanese fusion dining place. There is a long queue outside during peak periods at Horaiken, so write your name down on the waiting list before you get a table. Once you're seated, do try their signature dishes such as their deep fried chicken karaage, wok fried rice, and noodles. They are famous for their champon soup noodles and sara udon - both are nagasaki's specialties. Sara udon is a crispy noodle base, served with a thick gravy while champon noodles are with a soup base and both has lots of meat and vegetables in it. Their Chinese food at horaiken is yummy, with abit of Japanese flair but otherwise they were excellent!
