Simaguang Former Residence (1).

The Simaguang Former Residence is located at No. 318, Zhongdajie, Guangshan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province. It is the birthplace of Simaguang, a famous politician, historian, and writer of the Northern Song Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, it was the official residence of the county government. On the 18th day of the 10th lunar month in the third year of Tianxi of Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty (1019 AD), Simaguang was born here. The story of "Simaguang Smashing the Vat" also took place here. On June 1, 2004, the State Post Bureau successfully held the "Simaguang Smashing the Vat" special stamp issuance ceremony at the former residence. The protected area covers an area of about 10,000 square meters. The Simaguang Former Residence is a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Xinyang City.
