"Special Forces" Foshan trip - Donghu Restaurant

A word has become popular in mainland China recently, "special forces", which is used to describe a very impromptu and relatively fast journey. It is particularly suitable to describe this time! When I arrived at the Financial High-tech Zone in Foshan, I went to eat at the Donghu Restaurant, which I had wanted to visit in Yongqingfang but didn’t. Since we went there at nine in the morning, many places were already full and there were basically no seats available. After waiting for a while, I was led to a booth inside. But it was a self-service option, and the most common large pot of tea was no longer available, so I chose the Kung Fu tea at RMB 6 per person. After sitting down, I immediately locked onto the red rice crispy shrimp intestines. I feel like this is my favorite dish since coming to Guangzhou and Foshan. I originally wanted to look for some barbecued pork puff pastry, but I couldn't find any. So I found some roasted pork puff pastry, which was a bit of a surprise. But as for the siomai, I feel that Guangzhou Restaurant’s is better. The shrimp dumplings are also delicious, but I was too hungry to take pictures. The quantity of shrimp is less than that of Guangzhou Restaurant, but it is still more substantial than that of many restaurants in Hong Kong. It's pretty good at this price! Next time I still want to go back to the one in Yongqingfang.
