A budget hotel in the city center of Guangzhou that I will always stay at!!

Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou: A low-key luxury experience During my trip to Guangzhou for the Lunar New Year, I chose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou in Zhujiang New Town. Among the many tower-view hotels, it is often considered an alternative, but it truly embodies low-key luxury. Comfortable accommodation 🏘️Room layout: I booked a Guangzhou Tower River View King Room and was lucky enough to be upgraded to the executive floor. The room layout remained the same, but the view was unbeatable. I could see the Canton Tower from my bed, and even on rainy days in Guangzhou, I didn't have to worry about clouds blocking the view. It was more reliable than the other "three tower-view hotels." The room features a European palace style, with white embossed walls and gold trim, complemented by dark wood furniture. The mix of Chinese and Western classical styles is harmonious and not abrupt. The suite is spacious, but the city view is relatively ordinary. However, the washbasin countertop is small, making it cramped for larger makeup bags, and the walk-in closet is also small. This may be a limitation of the hotel's original design. 🧹Soundproofing/cleanliness: The hotel has excellent soundproofing, providing a quiet environment for rest. The room was spotless, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, there were many mosquitoes in the room, so mosquito prevention measures may be needed. Rich facilities 🛌Amenities: The room is equipped with a coffee machine, TWG tea bags, and complimentary minibar soft drinks and snacks, which is very considerate. The toiletries are from Diptyque, with a subtle woody scent and rich milky aroma. Although I personally don't like it, the quality is undeniable. The renovated room has a smart toilet, fully electric curtains, a mirror TV, and other facilities, but the hairdryer is old and outdated. The alarm clock on the bedside table had loose internal parts, indicating room for improvement in hotel maintenance. The pool on the 4th floor features an outdoor design with European Roman columns, which is unique. Although I didn't have time to experience it, the appearance alone is appealing. Thoughtful service From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel the excellent service of the Ritz-Carlton. The staff were enthusiastic and proactive, always displaying the demeanor of "ladies and gentlemen" with just the right touch. The concierge helped deliver my luggage to the room, and the front desk staff were friendly and professional, proactively asking if I needed a late check-out and offering a lobby bar drink voucher. Turn-down service is standard, and they also provided snacks (although the taste was average). Before leaving, I wanted to buy a little lion, and the staff brought it to my room for me to choose from, providing meticulous service. Tempting dining experience Dining: The hotel breakfast is excellent, even during peak hours. It is well-organized, with a wide variety of options, including rare ice cream. There are nearly ten open kitchen dishes, and the sizzling beef brisket noodles are a must-try. The Churchill Bar has a lively atmosphere with live performances, but the cigar smell is strong, and members can enjoy discounts. Overall, in the Zhujiang New Town area, where many popular hotels are located, the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou may not have many trendy labels, but its old-school aristocratic service and low-key luxury atmosphere are unforgettable. I believe those who value quality and experience will appreciate this "subtle luxury."
