This significant archaeological site is also known as the Western Han Nanyue King Tomb Museum, which located in Guangzhou, China. Discovered in 1983, it is the tomb of Zhao Mo, the second ruler of the Nanyue Kingdom (204–111 BCE). The tomb is remarkably well-preserved, containing over 1,000 artifacts, including the iconic Jade Burial Suits, bronze vessels, gold seals and silk garments etc. The tomb musuem is built around the original tomb, allowing visitors to see the burial chambers. The exhibits and artifacts are well-organized displays with English explanations. It provides insights into the Nanyue Kingdom, a semi-autonomous state during the Western Han Dynasty, which blending Yue (native Baiyue) and Han Chinese cultures. ⏩ Major exhibits & artifacts: 👉🏽 Jade Burial Suits, one of the highlights, made of 2,000+ jade pieces sewn with silk thread. 👉🏽 Imperial Seal of Zhao MO, a gold seal confirming his royal status. 👉🏽 Bronze Ritual Vessels & Musical Instruments, showing cultural exchanges between Han and Yue peoples. ⏩ Getting there: 🚉 Metro Line 2 to Yuexiu Park Station (Exit E). The museum is combine with Yuexiu Park & Guangzhou Museum. ⏩ The Nanyue King Wen's Mausoleum 🎫admission ticket is just RMB 10(adult). 🕘 It open daily from 9am to 5.30pm, closed on Monday.
