Traveling Alone - Guizhou (1) || July in Guangdong is too hot. I wanted to escape the heat. Guizhou is not far from Guangzhou and is a famous summer resort. I opened 12306 and found a ticket from Guangzhou to Guiyang. I bought the ticket and set off. I took the high-speed train from Guangzhou South Railway Station and arrived at Guiyang East Railway Station in five hours. There is no subway at Guiyang East Railway Station, but you can take the intercity train to Guiyang Railway Station and transfer to the subway. When I travel alone, I like to stay in lively places. This time, I chose a homestay near Huaguoyuan. I asked the homestay owner for food recommendations, and he recommended a Guizhou sour soup beef hot pot restaurant that he often visits. I bought a set meal, and the vegetables were self-service. It was my first time eating sour soup beef hot pot, and it tasted good. After dinner, I wandered around the area. I checked in at a local Guizhou milk tea shop called Qu Tea Mountain. I really liked the decoration style of the milk tea shop. I ordered the shop's signature cheese Guizhou Tongren matcha fresh milk tea and sat by the window watching people come and go outside. Huaguoyuan is indeed lively. The dense buildings, the internet-famous Guiyang White House, the newly opened Dolphin Plaza, and the Guiyang landmark Twin Towers are all nearby. Dolphin Plaza has a novel design and looks like a dolphin leaping out of the water. There is also a small animal park in the plaza. Huaguoyuan at night is a sea of lights. The Twin Towers, Dolphin Plaza, and the White House look even more magnificent under the lights, revealing a mysterious and charming aura in the interplay of light and shadow.
