Rocks, Ropes, and Ridiculously Good Views

#summervacay Gwanaksan is one of those hikes that just gets you, like, it starts off all chill with leafy trails and shaded paths, and then out of nowhere, boom: ropes, boulders, and steep climbs that make you feel like a low-key mountain warrior. But it’s fun! Just enough challenge to make it exciting without feeling like you need climbing gear. The views? Unreal. You get these epic city-meets-mountain scenes that make all the sweat totally worth it. Plus, that little temple tucked into the rocks near the summit? So cool. It feels like you stumbled into a secret spot straight out of a movie. There are a bunch of different trails, so you can mix it up depending on your mood (or how ambitious you're feeling). Some parts get a bit slippery, so wear solid shoes, and bring snacks, you’ll want to hang out at the top for a bit. All in all, Gwanaksan’s got character. Would 100% hike again, especially for those ropey rock scrambles.
