[Aomori] Learn about the history of the Nanbu clan at the Hachinohe City Museum

The museum is a short drive from the center of Hachinohe city. At the museum, I was able to learn about the history of the Nanbu clan, which ruled over northern Tohoku. I didn't know that it had its roots in the Minamoto clan. Now, for castle enthusiasts, I think Nejo Castle is more appealing than this one. There is no impressive castle tower inside the castle, but it is highly valued as a precious medieval castle ruin. At the time, mountain castles were the norm, and castles were not built on high ground on flat land like today. Be sure to visit the old castles of Tohoku along with Nihonmatsu Castle in Fukushima. #DomesticTrip
