[Fukuoka/Hakata] Day 1 of a gourmet trip

#DomesticTravelRecord Let's go on a trip to eat delicious food! So I took the Shinkansen to Hakata! After arriving at Hakata Station, I went to "Maki no Udon" at the station's bus terminal. I had the burdock tempura udon that I had checked out beforehand. A kettle for adding extra broth was included, so I adjusted the amount as I ate. I then bought a snack called Hakata Baribari at the "Sfogliatella Specialty Store" inside the station. As the name suggests, it was a crunchy croissant-like snack and was delicious. I had booked a hotel called "The Blossom Hakata Premier", which is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, so I checked in and organized my luggage. The lobby was decorated with a large vase of flowers, which was lovely♪ There was also a large public bath, so I went in before going to bed. After a short rest in my room, I took a city bus to Fukuoka Tower. I enjoyed the city of Fukuoka from the observation deck. After sightseeing, we went on a food tour, which was the purpose of the trip. First, we went to a yakitori restaurant. Apparently chicken skin wrapped around a skewer is a Hakata specialty. The sauce soaked into the skewers makes it perfect for a beer! Then, we had ramen as a palate cleanser. Ramen is a must in Hakata! The tonkotsu ramen at the popular restaurant "Issou" was rich and delicious! It was even better with extra garlic! Then, we went to the popular restaurant "Tetsunabe" to eat teppan gyoza. We waited in line for about 15 minutes. The hot gyoza was fragrant and made us want to drink beer (lol) Then, we strolled around the food stalls of Hakata and headed to the hotel. The first day of our very satisfying Hakata gourmet trip was over. I wonder what kind of trip we'll have tomorrow. #HakataGourmet #HakataTrip
