Hakodate, this beautiful small city at the southern tip of Hokkaido, always captivates visitors from around the world with its unique charm. This trip to Hakodate allowed me to discover the city's distinctive romance and vibrant charm amidst the winter snowscapes. 1. Little Octopuses on Manhole Covers: The City's Unique Imprint Walking through Hakodate's streets, you'll notice adorable little octopuses printed on the manhole covers. These octopuses either gaze curiously at the world with big eyes or stretch out their tentacles as if to hug passersby, adding a playful and lively touch to the city's streets. Strolling along the streets of the red brick warehouses, the snow crunches underfoot, and the surroundings are silent except for the dancing snowflakes. This tranquil and romantic atmosphere makes you feel as if you've stepped into a dreamy world, leaving all worries behind.
