Zhejiang Natural History Museum was founded in 1929. It is a national first-class museum and one of the few provincial natural history museums in China. In 2009, the new museum in Hangzhou was completed and opened. In 2018, the Anji Pavilion was completed and opened. The Hangzhou Museum is located in the West Lake Cultural Square, next to the Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum. Although its scale is not as large as the Anji Museum, which covers an area of ​​300 acres and has a construction area of ​​60,000 square meters, it also houses many children's favorite dinosaur models and various other animal and plant specimens.
