Cangqian Old Street, Hangzhou, Zhejiang

The ancient town of Cangqian was formerly known as Lingyuan. In the second year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1132), the government built the Lin'an Convenience Warehouse in the north of the street. In ancient times, the south was the front, so it was called Cangqian Street. It has a history of more than 880 years. Although its affiliation and construction have changed several times, the name Cangqian has been used all the time. The old street has the former residence of Mr. Zhang Taiyan, a master of Chinese studies, and the Qian Airentang Pharmacy, which was involved in the Yang Naiwu case in the late Qing Dynasty. As one of the first experimental fields of Zhejiang's 100 characteristic towns, the second phase of Yuhang's "Dream Town" - Cangqian Old Street has undergone a huge transformation in terms of appearance improvement and soul reshaping since the beginning of 2016. After more than five months of hard work, Dream Street has been renovated in accordance with modern office requirements and implanted with Internet genes, while fully preserving existing resources such as Zhang Taiyan's former residence and ancient streets. Dream Street, with its glass ceiling and colorful neon lights, is the main road after the renovation of the old street. At the end of Dream Street is a green rice field, symbolizing the field of hope. On the other side of the rice field is a large pond, reflecting the night scene and neon lights of the old street. The newly built old street adopts the method of restoring ancient buildings to their original state, creating an Internet co-creation space of more than 40,000 square meters with the charm of Jiangnan water town, focusing on technological innovation fields such as smart hardware and software, and mobile medical care.
