Gongchen Bridge Historic District

One of the Hangzhou city walk routes: Gongchen Bridge ✨ - Located at No. 1 Qiaonong Street, Gongshu District, Hangzhou, on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal - Connects the two banks of Gongshu District, Hangzhou, about 700 meters north of the upstream Textile Bridge and about 500 meters south of the downstream Dengyun Bridge. Gongchen Bridge is 98 meters long, 9 meters wide in the middle, 16 meters high, and 12.2 meters wide at both ends. The bridge has a clear span of 11.9 meters at the side holes and 15.8 meters at the middle hole, and is 12.2 meters wide at both ends, making it the highest and longest stone arch bridge in Hangzhou. - The bridge connects Lishui Road and Taizhou Road to the east, and Qiaonong Street to the west, spanning the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and connecting Xiahe Road, which is the southern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. - On June 22, 2014, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal was included in the World Heritage List, and Gongchen Bridge was selected as a world cultural heritage site as a hydraulic relic of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The district is home to the Fan Museum, Umbrella Museum, Scissors, Swords and Swords Museum, Zitan Museum, and Canal Museum, all of which are open to the public for free, allowing visitors to experience the ancient and modern canal culture more deeply. Recently, the district has been filled with the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival, and is bustling with activity. - The Zhang Daxian Temple at Gongchen Daoyuan also offers free "couplets" and "Fu" characters.
