| InterContinental Hangzhou Liangzhu Under the Ferris Wheel. I recently visited Hangzhou and stayed at the InterContinental Hangzhou Liangzhu. I have to share my experience with everyone~ 📌 Basic Hotel Information This hotel opened in 2022 and was designed by the well-known HBA. As the second InterContinental brand hotel in Hangzhou, it comes with its own halo. It is located in the Liangzhu Digital Culture Community in Yuhang District, across from the AEON Mall, making shopping super convenient🛍️. Buying daily necessities or window shopping is a breeze. However, if you're just visiting for tourism, the location is a bit out of the way. It took me over an hour to get back from West Lake🚗. 🏨 First Impression of the Lobby As soon as you step into the hotel lobby, your eyes are immediately drawn to the art installation in the center of the lobby🎇. The installation consists of 729 6-meter-long crystals, with interlacing light and shadows, resembling a dazzling waterfall. It immediately reminds you of the exquisite and mysterious Liangzhu jade cong. The piano below the waterfall is a stroke of genius, instantly enhancing the artistic style of the entire space. You can tell that the owner has extraordinary taste🎹. The lobby is 9 meters high, open and grand, with a symmetrical layout that is simple yet dignified. There are also performances in the evening, giving people a sense of surprise🎊. 🛏️ Check-in Experience Check-in was quite fast, and the concierge was warm, attentive, and knew how to handle things👍. The hotel front desk also upgraded me to a deluxe room with a Ferris wheel view. But honestly, I didn't find the view particularly amazing, and according to other guests, there may be light pollution issues🤔. The welcome fruit was prepared with great care, with delicious desserts and fresh seasonal fruit. I have to give it a perfect score💯. The bathroom and guest room partition design is very unique, abandoning the common "wall" or sliding door, and using multiple central axis rotating doors. It's great for taking photos and creating blockbuster shots📷. 🏊 Featured Swimming Pool The hotel's swimming pool is worth praising, with a super large floor-to-ceiling window design and excellent lighting☀️. There are 2 shallow water areas and an outdoor pool, which are especially friendly for those who can't swim or for children. It's super fun to play in the water here😄. 🍽️ Executive Lounge & Breakfast When I went to the executive lounge, it was almost 9pm, and happy hour was already over, but there were still fresh juices, snacks, and fruit available🥤. The service staff was very nice, not only explaining the dining times and categories in detail, but also helping to press the elevator button, with smiles throughout. It was a great experience🥰. Breakfast is buffet style, with a dedicated dining area for IHG One Rewards members. The variety is so rich that it's dazzling. There are many choices of toppings for noodles, and fresh honey is available, which is a plus🍯. 🙅‍♂️ Shortcomings However, there are also some things about this hotel that I was not satisfied with. The soundproofing in the rooms is too poor😣. You can clearly hear other people walking and talking in the hallway, and even the sound of the toilet flushing in the next room, which affects your rest😴. 💬 Overall Evaluation InterContinental Hangzhou Liangzhu is a business hotel that cleverly incorporates Liangzhu elements. Like the online reviews, the advantages and disadvantages are obvious. But if you want to have an in-depth tour of Liangzhu, enjoy the unique cultural atmosphere and relatively quiet environment, and are interested in the hotel's artistic design and special facilities, you may want to experience it.
