Step into an abandoned school themed bar

Address: Apothecary, 12 Phan Liêm, Đa Kao, Quận 1, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam Price: 💰💰💰💰💰 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden behind a half-closed iron door, lies a abandoned school themed bar serving cocktails named after subjects - Maths, Physics, etc. and famous people - Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, etc. The bar has a very laid back vibe - dimmed lighting and packed with character to suit their scientific aesthetic. There's two storey to the bar, but I recommend sitting along the bar to watch the bartender perform as they craft your orders. The staffs were very welcoming and they put on a show while skilfully creating beautiful cocktails. They have an extensive drink menu, but we decided to settle on these 3. We ordered:- 1. Maths - 7/10. This was their latest drink on the menu for 320K VND but if you post it on your Instagram, you'll get a discount at 256K VND. The alcohol content was very strong for this one. It has a bitter note, definitely an acquired taste. 2. Leonardo da Vinci - 10/10. This was on their signature menu for 260K VND and I think it was definitely worth it! The drink is very light and it has many elements to it. It came with a side if ginger slice and Foam salt - which is a sweet and salty cream. This drink plays on your different taste buds - it was a work of art just like the name itself. 3. Charles Darwin - 8/10. Another drink on their signature menus for 300K VND. This one also had a bitter note but definitely lighter than Maths. It was served with a side of charred shiitake mushroom which looked like a liver. 4. Ga Vien Chien Gion - 9/10. A side of regular fried chicken to pair with our drinks for 89K VND. Happy hour runs from 5-8pm daily, which I highly recommend as the drinks are quite pricey. Overall, I highly recommend this place as it's worth the experience. #newyearadventure
