Into the Charm of Hoi An Old Town, Just an Hour from Da Nang!

Hoi An Old Town is located about 30km south of Da Nang, Vietnam. It takes about 40 minutes to an hour by car, making it a perfect destination for a day trip from Da Nang. The main road connecting Da Nang and Hoi An is well-maintained, making travel convenient, and taxi or ride-hailing services like Grab are easily accessible. Additionally, there are many shuttle buses between Da Nang and Hoi An, making it very accessible. Hoi An Old Town is a charming ancient city designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was a thriving trading port from the 15th to the 19th century, boasting a unique architectural style that harmoniously blends Chinese, Japanese, and European cultures. In particular, the Chinese-style assembly halls and traditional Vietnamese houses create a unique atmosphere. During the day, the colorful buildings and traditional markets are vibrant, and at night, the streets are adorned with colorful lanterns, giving you a fairy-tale-like feeling. Hoi An Old Town is also very charming during the day. The yellow brick buildings shining in the sunlight are perfect for taking photos, and it's fun to explore the cafes and souvenir shops hidden in every alley. The scenery with small boats floating around is truly picturesque. I also tried the Vietnamese traditional food, Banh Mi, on the street, and the fresh ingredients and crispy baguette were really delicious. It was relatively quiet during the day, making it great for a leisurely stroll, and it was special to see the daily lives of the locals up close.
