Tottori Hokuei Town Conan Town Tour

I went to Tottori Hokuei Town Conan Town for New Year's Day. This place is really remote, but the winter months of November to March are the snow crab fishing season, and this is the least populated county in Japan, but it still attracts many tourists. I thought it would be very quiet, but the hotel was quite full. The menu has four types of crab: a whole cold snow crab, snow crab sashimi, charcoal-grilled snow crab, and snow crab shabu-shabu. The portions are huge! My wife and I almost couldn't finish it. After finishing the shabu-shabu, we had to cook rice porridge, but we were too full. I think the cold snow crab is the best! Charcoal-grilled is second. Sakaiminato City in Tottori Prefecture is the hometown of Shigeru Mizuki, the author of the anime "GeGeGe no Kitaro," and Hokuei Town is the hometown of Gosho Aoyama, the author of the anime "Detective Conan." I went to Hokuei Town to visit Conan Town. The next day, I went to Yura with a pious heart and started my pilgrimage to Conan Town. I later found out that I forgot to go to the elementary school where Ran and Conan held hands, so I have to go again. Yura is really small, and I walked around it quickly. I had to stamp the Conan-themed stamps to exchange for the "Conan Town Completion Certificate," so I didn't have a chance to experience the Conan taxi. Next time, I will definitely try it.
