A must-visit Hong Kong's tallest hotel, 118/F! Check in at the pool and sea view suite!

This time, I finally stayed at the long-awaited Ritz Carlton Hotel for my birthday🤤Shawn used to look at the ICC and called it the ABC Building because the marquee at ICC, the tallest building in Hong Kong, is the most eye-catching at night! Shuang's mom lost more than 30 pounds for this staycation and took many photos with Shawn. This time I used the discount offered by my dad's company and booked a Deluxe Victoria Harbour View Suite for $37xx, which includes check-in/out at 116/F, four meals in the lounge, free accommodation for children under 6 years old and extra beds. Because I was an amateur, even though I checked in on my birthday, I didn't have a late check-out on weekdays, so I could only be arranged in Room 16 on the lower floor. First of all, I would like to praise the good places. I am very satisfied with the landscape and hardware. The room meal guarantee is very good. The housekeeping auntie cleans very cleanly. There is a night bed service, and the children's supplies that were missed were returned quickly. There is no complaint about looking at the night view of Hong Kong, especially the sunrise, from more than a hundred floors high. The sea views of different room numbers are different. Room 16 is a sunrise room, with half city view and half sea view. Everyone has different preferences, so it is recommended to stay in all four corners once🙃. There was a small birthday cake and a little lion as a gift for the birthday, and the children also had some chocolate desserts. After booking a room, you will receive an email. If you have any requirements or want to reserve a swimming pool, just reply to the email. It really makes people look forward to RC's service, but unfortunately expectations will lead to disappointment. I also want to praise Bandon, Mark, and Vicky in the Executive Lounge. Something happened when checking out, and I was in a bad mood. It was different from my expectations, but seeing their sincerity to all guests, even for very small things, I can feel that they are willing to do an extra step to make guests feel truly at home, which saves a lot of points. Unpleasant things may be just individual incidents and individual colleagues, which are purely unfortunate. Based on our experience of staying at the hotel that day, we have summarized the following tips for your reference when you check in: 1️⃣ Check in early and in the morning. Workers will be cleaning the glass on the exterior wall. There will be gondolas that will affect the view and privacy. This will last for one to two hours every day. The hotel did not give any special reminders (for example, when I stayed at Murray and GH before, they would remind guests of the cleaning time so that they could be prepared). It is a real eyesore. Everyone should be careful and don't be startled. 2️⃣Lounge is on 116/F. You can check in and check out here if you book the club level. There are only seats for two people by the window. You are welcome to bring your children in. There are baby chairs. Children under six years old are free, and children between six and twelve years old will be charged $300. The time periods are breakfast 6:30am-10:30am; lunch 12:00n-2:00pm (enjoyed after check out); afternoon tea 3:00pm-5:00pm and dinner 6:00pm-8:30pm. The quality of the food in the Lounge was mixed, with limited choices. The afternoon tea and dinner on the first day were a disaster. The breakfast on the second day did not cost an additional $180 to 102/F, and the dim sum was also disappointing. Although alcohol was available, we felt that both red and white wine were difficult to drink. The outstanding dishes are the cold salad, soup and porridge. The soup is at a very comfortable temperature, has no MSG and is not too oily, so you can drink many bowls of it. But I didn’t expect that the lunch which I could still eat after checking out would be an anti-climax. It turns out that if you know how to drink, you should drink champagne🍾️Only champagne tastes good! The desserts during lunch are super delicious, especially the mini cheesecakes 🍰 and pandan milk jelly, which are so delicious♥️So the dining in the lounge still depends on luck🤔 3️⃣The high-altitude floor-to-ceiling glass indoor swimming pool is at 118/F. Each session is one and a half hours. Reservations must be made in advance by email. It is open from 6 am to 10 pm. Only the water in the paddling pool feels constant temperature. The temperature of the large pool is relatively cold. The indoor air-conditioning is very strong, so you must keep warm when entering the water. The photos are more beautiful at sunrise and dusk. If you want to avoid the crowds, you can choose to arrive on time and go in the morning. 4️⃣If you are checking in to celebrate, such as a birthday, there may not be any special treatment. There are bonuses such as happy birthday and late check-out. Everyone can check in on the day of check-in at any time. If you have any, congratulations! If you count birthday accommodation in Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental is the best for now, but it also depends on luck and definitely has something to do with the colleagues who receive you 😶 If you meet caring staff, you might as well share with each other. 5️⃣There are paid activities for children, the most special of which is the simulated aviation flight course. Reservations must be made before check-in. The playroom for children under five years old is only open on weekends, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. For free activities, you can borrow Switch or Broad Game, first come first served, with no time limit. RC is definitely a hotel in Hong Kong that everyone must stay at once in their lifetime. The service and food may not be the best, but the view is better than anything else. I suggest you stay at RC once. As my groupmates said, the partition between the suite bedrooms may affect the sense of space. Choose the room type based on your personal preferences! By the way.
