The Japanese restaurant in Huangpu is small and decorated in Japanese style with wooden elements. There are not too many choices but the price is very reasonable. The main course of the set meal is Inaniwa Udon or soba noodles, and there are four udon soup bases to choose from: kelp bonito soup, pork bone soup, Japanese beef bone soup, and Korean pork bone soup. You can also add soy sauce eggs or mentaiko for an additional $8. Choose from three seasonal salads: grapefruit, purple sweet potato, and green apple salad, sesame sauce okra, and Korean cucumber salad. Choose from two cold dishes: wasabi octopus or garlic cuttlefish. The soy sauce egg and kelp broth are surprisingly good after mixing, and the rich egg flavor is super good.
