Special Dim Sum at Steam House

I really enjoy having tea! Besides traditional restaurants, dim sum specialty shops are also great places to savor dim sum. This time, I chose a relatively new spot to enjoy some late-night tea and tried many fresh and exquisite dim sum dishes. This evening, I went with friends to the popular Kai Tak Sports Park. The restaurant, Steam House, is located in Retail Pavilion 3 within the sports park. As soon as we sat down, we ordered tea. The delicate teapot was quite eye-catching. In addition to Chinese tea, they also offer specialty drinks! I chose the Pandan Lemongrass Tea for $15. The fragrant pandan paired with the unique lemongrass flavor was not overly sweet and tasted quite good. We started with a bowl of Monkey Head Mushroom and Tea Tree Mushroom Soup with Pork Broth for $60! The soup had a deep color and was filled with a rich mushroom aroma. It was light and delicious. The most indulgent choice was the Deluxe Buddha Jumps Over the Wall for $98! It was packed with luxurious ingredients including fish maw, sea cucumber, abalone, vegetarian shark fin, conch, dried scallops, cordyceps flower, shiitake mushrooms, chestnuts, and quail eggs. The broth was flavorful, and the portion was generous—definitely worth trying. Next, we enjoyed a variety of dim sum with friends! First up was the crispy Pandan Kaya Shrimp Cup for $45. Essentially, it’s fried wonton topped with a unique pandan kaya sauce, offering a crispy texture and a refreshing taste. The Pear Trio for $39 was shaped like pears and tasted amazing! The outer layer was crispy and not greasy, while the filling was savory and delicious. I really liked this trio. The Crystal Shrimp Dumpling King for $39 featured large shrimp dumplings with translucent, smooth skin. The fresh shrimp filling inside made each bite incredibly satisfying. The Crab Roe Siu Mai King for $35 was packed with evenly balanced meat filling. The addition of crab roe enhanced the flavor, making it a high-quality siu mai. The Ginger and Scallion Beef Tripe for $39 was perfectly seasoned. The tripe was crunchy without any unpleasant odor, and the generous amount of ginger and scallion made it very flavorful. The XO Sauce Steamed Chicken Feet for $39 had tender skin and meat that separated easily without falling apart. The sauce was thick and well-balanced, making it enjoyable to eat. The Fish Broth Cordyceps Flower Fresh Bamboo Roll for $31 was very solid and packed with meat. The fish broth was rich, and the cordyceps flower added a delightful texture and flavor. The Steamed Turnip Cake with Bonito Flakes for $31 was a unique twist on the classic dish. The bonito flakes paired perfectly with the turnip cake, offering a fresh take on a familiar favorite. The Cordyceps Chicken and Vegetable Rice Roll for $54 was a hybrid between rice noodles and rice rolls. It absorbed the chicken’s aroma and was complemented by crunchy vegetables, enhancing both flavor and texture. The Original Cane Sugar Sponge Cake for $31 had a golden appearance and a fluffy texture with plenty of air pockets. The rich caramelized sugar flavor made it more than satisfying. Lastly, the Marble Sesame Bun for $31 was equally impressive! Its black-and-white marble design was visually appealing, and the bun was filled with a flowing sesame paste. The soft bun and aromatic sesame filling left a lasting impression. This dim sum specialty shop offers unique dishes with great flavors and quality. It’s definitely a place worth revisiting for delicious treats.

Last week I went shopping in Kai Tak with my family, and a bird friend brought parrots to sunbathe 🐦🐦 outdoors. I was happy to communicate with them 😀😀. At night we went to the retail hall Grove to eat western food, dinner was good, an average of more than 100 dollars a piece, no plus one, drank a cup of matcha Latte, taste good 😋😋 The restaurant is pet friendly 👍👍 Grove (Kowloon City) Shop M3-004, 3/F, Kai Tak Retail Hall, Kai Tak Sports Park, 38-39 Cheung Kai Road, Kai Tak, Kowloon City
