It was the first permanent police station in the New Territories. Through the second phase of the "Revitalizing Historic Buildings Partnership Scheme," this historic building complex has been transformed into the "Green Hub" to promote sustainable living. The revitalization project, led by Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, adopts an integrated strategy to preserve the historical, architectural, and ecological value of the Old Tai Po Police Station. Visitors can admire the beautiful colonial-style architecture, which blends Chinese and Western elements, featuring Chinese tiled roofs and Dutch gables. Two small exhibition halls provide insights into the history of Tai Po and the police station. The original detention cells and armory have been preserved for public viewing. Guided tours can be booked, as some areas require guided access. The backyard restaurant, "The Eat Well Canteen," offers vegetarian meals, and there is a small farm nearby that supplies fresh ingredients for self-sustaining operations.
