【Personal Review】Three High-Value Victoria Harbour View Hotels in Hong Kong

Today, I’m sharing my recent experience staying at three harbor view hotels in Hong Kong. Back when I was a student, I was shocked by the prices of Victoria Harbour hotels. Now that I’m working and have some financial capability, I can finally fulfill my dream of waking up to a view of Victoria Harbour! While five-star hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui can easily cost $4000-$5000, there are great options available for around $2000. 1️⃣ Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong (around $2000 with breakfast for two) ☑️ Pros: Just a 2-minute walk from North Point Station, surrounded by plenty of local eateries! Hyatt’s service and breakfast quality are guaranteed. ✖️ Cons: The rooms are extremely small! It’s even hard to open a suitcase... Plus, the harbor view includes a highway, which slightly diminishes the scenery. 2️⃣ Kerry Hotel Hong Kong (off-season $2500 with club lounge access) ☑️ Pros: Stunning harbor view terrace, amazing pool, and the club lounge is right next to Victoria Harbour! You can enjoy breakfast with a harbor view, and the rooms are relatively spacious. ✖️ Cons: The rooms only face East Kowloon, and prices can soar to $3000 during peak season. Also, it’s a 10-minute walk to Whampoa Station. 3️⃣ Harbour Grand Kowloon (under $2000) ☑️ Pros: Just a 3-minute walk from Whampoa Station, with a harbor view similar to Kerry Hotel but at half the price! I was even upgraded to a suite this time—the living room was so big I thought it could fit another bed. ✖️ Cons: The decor is a bit outdated, and on one foggy morning, I couldn’t see anything outside. Tips: If you want to save money and still enjoy a harbor view, consider staying on weekdays and booking early. The day and night views of Victoria Harbour are truly mesmerizing. Compared to the crowds at Shanghai’s Bund or the endless ocean in Bali, Hong Kong’s unique blend of city and sea is truly special!
