Miramar in North Point: Old style and clean

I saw that the price for a sea view room at Pingpingdi was about $255/night, so I booked it for one night; I actually seldom book hotels in Hong Kong Island, but I gave it a try when I saw Pingpingdi 😄. There is a street market downstairs of the hotel, which really feels awkward because it feels dirty and noisy. When I entered the hotel lobby, I felt it was not nice either, but it was obviously older and had a history, making it feel like a high-end hotel😂. There was only one waiter busy at the front desk, and he politely asked me to wait👍. The procedures were completed quickly, and the room was arranged on the 25th floor👍. There are 3 elevators in the lobby. You need to use the room card to use the elevator. The hotel should have a history, so the elevators are relatively new and a little slower. There are several air purifiers in the corridor. The corridors are all old designs. The rooms are large and have enough space. They are very clean. There is an air purifier in the room, and it is quite quiet. Although the glass windows are not large, there is a window sill where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. There are 2 single beds, but the mattresses are OK. They just seem a bit old, so they sag slightly. However, they are still comfortable. However, the quilt and bed really feel a bit old and not very comfortable. They don't feel soft when used, and the pillows are too thin and old. The shower room is small, but there is a bathtub. The hotel only provides shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, sanitary bag, basic supplies. The shower room felt clean and the towels were acceptable. There is a small refrigerator in the room inside the small kitchen cabinet, but it is not cold enough😅. There is an iron in the closet, and the TV 📺 is of acceptable size. I stayed for one night and rarely heard the room card sound. It was very quiet👍. Overall, it was OK for this price. The hotel originally had a check-out time of 11:00 am, but I asked if I could check out around 12 noon. The front desk was very good and allowed me to check out before 1 pm☺️👍. The hotel is old and there is a street market outside the hotel. It is OK to stay there for one night. There are many food options near the hotel, including chain fast food restaurants and supermarkets☺️
