Transportation guide - Sheung Wan Station Exit D, Sai Ying Pun Station Exit A2 Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park is located on the waterfront of Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong, beside Eastern Street North and Connaught Road, close to the Hong Kong Island exit of the Western Harbour Tunnel. When Dr. Sun Yat-sen passed through Hong Kong many times to and from the mainland, the place where his ship was moored is the current location of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Park, and the park is named after it. There is a circular memorial lawn in the center of the park, with a 4.5-meter-high bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen erected in the center. A clock tower is built on the east side of the lawn, between the football field. The seaside part of the park consists of a waterscape plaza and a seaside promenade. The cross lights and pool of water at the waterscape square represent Sun Yat-sen's conversion to a Christian and baptism in Hong Kong.
