Houston's black-and-white church on "sketch paper" and art church without "gods"

Designed by American architect Philip Johnson in 1997, the minimalist design of St. Basil's Chapel in Houston is just right. The entrance to the building resembles an open book, simple yet inviting. In the Menil Collection Park, there is a small Rothko Chapel, a meditative space created with art. Fourteen monochrome gradient oil paintings are integrated into the building, surrounding visitors with a spectacular black visual, offering a space experience different from religion. It is a model of contemporary American architecture.
