Today, I came to the famous Jimingyi Ancient City with great anticipation, but this visit left me very disappointed. Before entering the ancient city, I bought a ticket for 40 yuan. At the time, I thought the price was not too expensive, but after entering, I realized that the 40 yuan was really wasted. As soon as I entered the city, I was greeted by a chaotic scene. The layout of the buildings in the city is unplanned, with old and new houses randomly mixed together, completely lacking the simplicity and charm that an ancient city should have. Many of the so-called attractions are places where local residents live, and it feels like an ordinary village has been enclosed as a scenic spot, with no characteristics at all. Walking along the street, I found the roads narrow and bumpy, giving a very uncomfortable feeling. Several small temples look like they were hastily restored to fit the scene, and you can't feel the historical sediment and the solemnity of religious culture at all. I wanted to visit the museum to learn about the history and culture of the ancient city, but the museum is not only small, but most of the exhibition halls are not open, and the few open exhibition halls are hot and stuffy, with dim lighting, making it impossible to calm down and watch carefully. During the tour, there were many locals who kept pestering me to sell various goods, which was very annoying and seriously affected my mood. The management of the entire ancient city is also very chaotic, with vehicles parked randomly everywhere, which is out of place with the atmosphere of the ancient city. I thought this ancient city with a long history would bring me an unforgettable historical and cultural journey, but what I saw was such a dilapidated and chaotic scene. If you just want to see the ancient city wall, that's barely acceptable, but other than the city wall, there's really nothing worth seeing in the city. In short, this trip to Jimingyi Ancient City left me very disappointed, and I do not recommend you to come here to play. I don't think I'll be coming back to this place again.
