Huzhou's Nanxun is now easily accessible! [HighSpeedRail] Departing from Shanghai, take the newly opened Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou high-speed rail from Hongqiao Station and arrive in Nanxun in just 45 minutes! A short taxi ride from the station brings you straight to Nanxun Ancient Town. Nanxun Ancient Town is a renowned Jiangnan silk town, featuring the Zhang Shiming Old Residence blending Chinese and Western architecture, the "Red House" Liu's Ladder, the exquisite Xiaolianzhuang Garden (a model of Jiangnan gardens), the grand Jiaye Library, and the Bai Jian Lou residential complex and Dongda Street, showcasing the charm of Jiangnan water towns. The ancient town is free to enter, though some attractions require tickets. Don’t miss the free nighttime scenery—lanterns light up the town, and sitting by the water to enjoy the breeze is pure relaxation. 🏨 For this trip, I stayed at the Nanxun Boyang New Century Hotel near the town entrance, just a 2-3 minute walk to the scenic area. The hotel features traditional Chinese-style villas with Jiangnan-inspired decor, creating a serene atmosphere.
