Island’s Must Visit- Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon🇮🇸

Iceland is home to some breathtaking canyons 🏔, and one of the most remarkable is the serpentine-shaped Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon in the southern part of the country 🗾. 
Fjaðrárgljúfur was once a hidden gem, known only to a select few, but it gained international fame when Justin Bieber used it as the backdrop for his music video 🎥 "I'll Show You" in Iceland. This attracted a flood of visitors ✅. 
The canyon is approximately 100 meters deep and 2000 meters long, with dramatic, sheer rock walls that date back millions of years to the glacial era 🉑. Moss-covered cliffs add to its allure, especially in the bright sunlight 🌞. 
You can explore the canyon from various angles, either from the top or within, revealing vibrant color contrasts 🌈. For hikers 👣, crossing the shallow Fjaðrá River is necessary, and waterproof 💧 gear and sturdy hiking boots ⛸ or easy-to-remove sandals are essential. 
Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon is located 📍 west of Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. You can rent a car in Reykjavik, take Route 1 in the south, and turn onto Route 206 towards Lakagígar. A short drive on a gravel road will lead you to the 🏔canyon.
