[Yata Hills] 🗻 Yatayama and Matsuoyama

🏖️Overview: The Yata Hills are a collective name for a series of hills that run from the village of Ikaruga, located in the north of the Nara Basin🦌, north to south, with a length of about 13 km and an altitude of about 200 to 300 m. At the center of the hills is Mt. Matsuo🗻, which has an altitude of 315 m, and the highest point is the northern point of Yata Pass, which is 340 m above sea level🗻, which can be reached by climbing west from Yata Temple. There are also historic temples on each mountain. 💞Reasons why we recommend it: We climbed Mt. Yata and Mt. Matsuo. Each mountain has ancient Japanese temples🛕, Yata Temple and Matsuo Temple, which were founded in the Asuka to Nara periods. In particular, Yata Temple is famous for its hydrangea🪻 flowers, and please note that an entrance fee💰 is only charged during the period when these flowers bloom. In spring ☘️, elementary school students use it for school trips, so the hiking trail is very well maintained 🧹.
