A two-day, one-night model itinerary to fully enjoy Ise, departing from and arriving in Nagoya

Ise is popular for Ise Shrine and Okage Yokocho 🙋♀️ Enjoy it to the fullest by renting a car! Here is a sample itinerary✍️ I live in the Kanto region, so I first took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya. It was early for lunch, but I filled up on ekiben 🙋♀️ I arrived in Nagoya around noon (11:45) Picked up the rental car at Nagoya Station ( /•ө•)/around 12 o'clock. ① To the Sky Postbox📮 on Mt. Asakuma 📍Location 185-3 Asakuma-cho, Ise City, Mie Prefecture 🕰️Business hours Ise Skyline January to April, September to December 07:00 to 19:00 May to August 06:00 to 20:00 A postbox📮 at the Asakuma summit observation deck of the 16.3km long Ise Skyline, which connects Ise and Toba If you post a letter✉️ from this postbox, it is the only one that will have an Ise postmark☺️ Currently, if you post a letter from within Ise City, it will have a Yokkaichi postmark, making it a valuable postbox. Postcards and stamps are sold at the shop at the summit, so it seems like you can send a letter to a special person from here and convey your feelings☺️ It has been designated as a sacred place for lovers. Famous for marital harmony and matchmaking♥️ A sacred place where the beauty of nature and faith come together. This time I came to see the sunrise🌅 at Meoto Iwa, but I also came the day before☺️ ④Isuzu Segoan Shio Yokan Within walking distance of the hotel (about 5 minutes) 📍Location 52 Nakanokiri-cho, Uji, Ise City 🕰️Opening hours 09:00~17:00 A traditional Japanese confectionery shop that uses local ingredients. 🙋♀️Salted yokan is popular🙋♀️ This yokan is made using natural salt from Ise-Shima, and the moderate saltiness enhances the sweetness, creating a truly exquisite balance. It had a smooth texture. I heard from the shop staff that it goes well with wine🍷 and cream cheese, so I tried it at home and it was a great match! There was space inside the shop where you could sit, but since the COVID-19 pandemic (January 2025) they have only been doing takeout. The exterior has a great atmosphere, and you can feel the attention to detail in this shop. ⑤Go to Ogiya for dinner 📍Location 6-1 Chaya, Futami-cho, Ise-shi 🕰️Business hours 11:00~14:00 17:00~19:00 ⚠️Closing time may be earlier depending on the situation Closed on Thursdays Reservations not accepted 🅿️Parking Available (free) 3 spaces on the store side 10 spaces on the Futami-ura station side A popular restaurant that serves home-cooked meals using local ingredients🍽 A heartwarming place with a calm atmosphere reminiscent of an old-style house. Recommended menu✍️ Matsusaka beef hamburger set meal I've never had such a soft hamburger before. The flavor is strong and goes well with rice🍚 Ogiya set meal Grilled spiny lobster, Matsusaka beef hamburger, braised Tamaki pork, fried oysters (depending on the season), and many more... A luxurious set meal! ⚠️Cash only I arrived around 6pm and was able to enter without waiting, but the store was crowded. The next morning I went to bed early to watch the sunrise over Meoto Iwa 😪 This is a model itinerary for the first day of a two-day, one-night trip to Ise ✍️ The journey from Nagoya is long, so I think you'll be tired, so stop at a PA and take a break to avoid overdoing it 🙏 I hope this helps at least a little!
