[Shizuoka] Hirugakojima, where the 13 Shoguns of Kamakura, Minamoto no Yoritomo, were exiled

Hirukojima is said to be the place where Minamoto no Yoritomo was exiled after being defeated by Taira no Kiyomori in the Heiji Rebellion. It is now maintained as Hirukojima Park, and you can walk there from the Kamakura Shogunate Izu no Kuni Taiga Drama Museum. The park has statues of Minamoto no Yoritomo and Hojo Masako, which are great photo spots. The Hirukojima Teahouse in the center of the park is a free rest area where you can enjoy tea for free. They also have light meals such as the Jigan mochi rice cakes associated with Yoritomo! (I went there for the Jigan mochi rice cakes, but I missed the last order 😭 I'll try again next time..)
