Cherry Blossom Experience at Kawaguchi Mitsuzoin Temple

The cherry blossoms at Mikkō-in Temple in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, are a variety called Daikanzakura, which was created by crossbreeding a Taiwanese variety with a Japanese variety. Because they bloom earlier than regular cherry blossoms, I was a little hesitant before visiting, but luckily I was able to visit when they were in full bloom. Some of the cherry blossoms have already started to fall, and the ground is covered with cherry blossom petals. The temple is located in a residential area, next to a school and a park. There are few visitors, and the atmosphere is very quiet and calm.
