Lake Sentani, Papua

#summervacay Lake Sentani is a peaceful and culturally rich destination near Jayapura. I took a boat ride around the lake, stopping at traditional villages where locals still paint bark art and live in stilt houses. The scenery is stunning—lush green hills surrounding the wide, glassy lake. It’s a perfect place to slow down and appreciate a side of Indonesia most travelers never see. The annual Sentani Festival adds even more color and tradition in June.
