Sanatorium (Senatorium, Nursing Home) is a sanatorium built by Stalin for workers during the Soviet era. In 1936, Stalin stated the right to rest in the constitution, so it was built all over the Soviet Union, and it is said that workers came to rest and recover. There are not many left in the world, but I visited it because it was in a mountain valley in Kyrgyzstan. I went there with half anticipation and half worry because I heard that I could receive unique treatments that were popular at the time, such as radon therapy and mud therapy.ㅋㅋㅠㅠ I took the 355 marshurka from Karakol bus stop and arrived at Jeti Oguz village after about 30 minutes. The sanatorium was about 10km inward, so I took a taxi. There were many people waiting to check in at the reception. Since I heard that they usually come for long-term treatment, they were all elderly people with lots of luggage. Entering the sanatorium, I could see the large grounds were densely planted with fir trees and a river flowing right in front, so I understood why they stayed for a long time to rest. The sanatorium buildings looked old and creepy, but they were interesting because they contained Soviet history and were valuable. Three meals a day were served, and the quality was better than I thought. It was healthy food and there was meat every time, but the portions were a bit small. Once inside the building, the teacher escorted me to receive treatment one by one. I took off my top and laid down, so they asked me where I was uncomfortable, and when I said my back and neck were sore, they put something hot and heavy on me. They said it was hot mud therapy, and it was better than I thought. The next treatment was the radon half-body bath that I was most curious about. It was because of the bathtub and the color, but I feel bad saying this because it was like a horror movie set ㅋㅋ ㅠㅠ They recommended 20 minutes, so I soaked my chest in warm water and left.
