Jianchuan 3 days and 2 nights self-driving tour, Jianchuan ancient city full of fireworks

The Lipan Expressway was opened to traffic. Along the way, I had been to Chenghai, Sanchuan, Lijiang and Dali several times, and I decided to drive straight to Jianchuan. Starting from Panzhihua, the 98% highway is used. Due to water seepage in the Chenghai section tunnel, it is necessary to take a 33-kilometer provincial road. Although it is a provincial road, the road surface is flat and the driving feel is good. It takes only 3 hours and 40 minutes to arrive there, and the journey is quite relaxing. Jianchuan, the sword points to the universe, and the river flows endlessly. What a weird name! In fact, it means "the gate to the south" in Naxi language. Jianchuan County consists of 5 towns and 3 townships. Jinhua Town is the center of the county government and also the location of Jianchuan Ancient City. Jianchuan Ancient City has a history of more than 600 years. On both sides of the clean and tidy ancient city paths, Bai ethnic courtyards are scattered around, the exquisite wood carvings and stone carvings on the eaves and brackets, and the handwritten couplets or elegiac couplets posted on the lintels of every household all reveal the cultural heritage of this "famous literary state." The city is small, there are not many shops and few people. On the quiet streets, the indigenous people rode 28-circle bicycles slowly and leisurely through the ancient city. The Bai elderly sitting leisurely under the eaves of their homes, playing chess or embroidering, the naughty children who wish they could crawl into the ditch, the traditional snack shop that makes jelly from soaking beans, every frame of the picture is filled with a healing and relaxing feeling. 2 hours of leisurely stroll is enough to visit every corner of the ancient city. Find a cafe, sit down, order some hand-brewed coffee, and stare at the street. It's really enjoyable. After 6 o'clock in the evening, the small square in the city center was filled with children riding bicycles and people taking a walk. During the trip, I didn't feel like a tourist at all and instantly blended in with the crowd. Time passes slowly and the years are not hurried. When I can’t roll it anymore, I think I’ll come back and stay for a few more days! The itinerary is as follows: 1 day, depart to Jianchuan, visit Jianchuan Ancient City, stay overnight in Jianchuan, have lunch at Shanlaotui, and dinner at Wangji Liangfen 2day, hike to Manxianlin Qianshi Mountain in the morning, Shaxi Ancient Town in the afternoon, and stay in Shaxi. On Day 3, Deng Chuan experienced the making of milk fan, ate milk ice cream and handmade yogurt, swam in Cibi Lake, and took a hot spring bath in the geothermal country, and returned to Kunming in the evening. The places we visited were all deserted, so people were happy and relaxed. 📝Thoughts are broken 🏨Accommodation: There are plenty of choices for homestays and hotels. If you live in the ancient city, you need to park your car in a parking lot outside the city. I chose a hotel with its own parking lot on the edge of the city. It is convenient to cross the road to the ancient city. 🍲Food: Shanlaotui’s ham and chicken copper hotpot is worth a try. It’s a bit far from the ancient city, but you can drive there. In the mushroom season, you must order some wild mushrooms. 💰Average consumption 60 Wangji Liangfen is located in the ancient city, hidden in the alley. If you can't find it, ask passers-by. It mainly sells snacks such as bean powder, jelly, bait shreds, potatoes, etc. 💰Average consumption 20-30 You can also try coffee and Yujia cold shrimp. People in the old city are very leisurely. Most shops open at 9 or 10 in the morning and close at 7 or 8 in the evening. Fortunately, the restaurants near the old city or in the new city have longer opening hours. ⏳Play There are wood carving DIY in the ancient city, you can bring your children to try it. Woodcarving is a characteristic industry of Jianchuan. There are many woodcarving shops in the city. I found two small items made of Thuja sutchuenensis. I don’t know if they are real or not, but I just bought them for fun.
