The former residence of Zhu Kezhen in Meicheng, Jiande is part of the former site of Zhejiang University when it moved west to Jiande, and is located in Meicheng Town, Jiande City. This is the temporary residence of President Zhu Kezhen and his family, and is also Zhu Kezhen’s former residence. The former residence was originally the ancestral home of Sun Wei, a teacher at National Zhejiang University, and later became the temporary residence of President Zhu Kezhen and his family. In 1937, Zhejiang University moved west to Meicheng, Jiande due to the Anti-Japanese War. Zhu Kezhen, as the president, insisted on running the school during this period. Although the stay was only 43 days, this period of history is of great significance. Zhu Kezhen's former residence is not only an ancient building with a long history, but also a model of rescue protection of historical buildings, retaining the exquisite charm of Qing Dynasty architecture. Zhu Kezhen's former residence includes a gatehouse, a main house, an annex on the north side and a courtyard, with a total area of ​​1,221 square meters and a construction area of ​​699 square meters. There is an exhibition hall in the former residence, which displays the historical origins of Zhu Kezhen, Zhejiang University and Meicheng Ancient Town.
