In 1278, Emperor Zhao Bing of the Song Dynasty moved to Yamen, Xinhui, and built a temporary palace with 30 rooms (now Guanchong), where he held court and discussed state affairs. The main hall was named Ciyuan Hall. More than 3,000 military houses were built outside the palace to accommodate civil and military officials. At that time, there were 200,000 officers and soldiers stationed in the Yashan area. The Yashan Trip lasted a total of nine months. In 1279, the Song army and the Mongolian army fought a decisive battle at Yamen in Jiangmen, Guangdong. Prime Minister Lu Xiufu carried the young emperor Zhao Bing on his back and jumped into the sea to commit suicide. He and a number of royal relatives, civil and military ministers, military and civilian officers and soldiers, and people who were loyal to the king also bravely jumped into the sea. There were tens of thousands of people accompanying them. Since then, the Southern Song Dynasty was destroyed and the Yuan Dynasty unified China. Upon hearing the news of Emperor Bing's death, Empress Dowager Yang jumped into the sea and died for her country. Zhang Shijie buried her on Yashan and used local materials to build the only imperial mausoleum in China built with clam shells. 200 years later, Chen Xianzhang, a great scholar from Lingnan during the Ming Dynasty, submitted a petition to the imperial court to build the Dazhong Temple and the Ciyuan Temple. The Dazhong Temple commemorates three loyal ministers: Wen Tianxiang, Lu Xiufu and Zhang Shijie. Ciyuan Temple is dedicated to Empress Dowager Yang and was built on the site of the former Ciyuan Hall. The current Ciyuan Temple was built in 1494 during the Ming Dynasty. Cultural Relics: In 1995, tens of thousands of Song Dynasty copper coins weighing 400 kilograms were unearthed in Zhenxing 3rd Road.
