Jiulong Grand Canyon

🎓Jiulong Grand Canyon is the largest canyon in northern Jiangbei, over 20 li long. Formed by crustal uplift and water erosion, it is a low-mountain, shallow-cut sandstone canyon. The peaks are composed of medium-grained monzonitic granite from 2.51–2.52 billion years ago and have unique landforms due to weathering. This is a magmatic rock canyon where students can learn about magmatic rocks through observation. The geological relics here are abundant, unique within the province, and rare nationwide.👍 Amazing Scenic Spots Black Dragon Pool: There are three pools, connected by stone openings. The inner pool resembles a gourd, with dark green water reflecting the mountain shadows and a chilly air. "Dragon Seen in the Deep Pool" is one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Laiwu." A Thread of Sky: Two 10-meter giant rocks stand opposite each other, with a 1-meter-wide and 8-meter-deep crevice between them. Squeeze in, and you'll see a thread of blue sky overhead. Its formation is related to the inversion layer. Sky-holding Cliff: A cliff about 200 meters high, with inscriptions by Wu Zhongqi, "Stars Appear in Dragon Pool," and Wang Yuxi, "Voices Echo in the Empty Valley." Shouting here produces a resounding echo.
