Jiuzhai in Winter

This is my third time visiting Jiuzhai. Although it's the off-season, it's still beautiful. 🚉Transportation Guide: 1. Now you can take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Jiuzhai Valley, arriving in 2 hours. Compared to the previous 6-hour bus ride on winding mountain roads, this significantly reduces travel time and is much more comfortable. I have to admire the country's powerful infrastructure development. 2. There are shuttle buses from the high-speed rail station directly to the scenic area. It's nearly 100km and takes about 2 hours. 3. You can choose either Songpan or Huanglong Jiuzhai Station as your arrival station. 💰Average Cost Per Person: ○ Tickets: Off-season 80 + 80 = 160. If you need to enter the valley twice, you need to buy tickets again. Compared to my visits in 2000 and 2013, when one ticket was valid for two days, the cost has increased quite a bit. ○ High-speed Rail: Chengdu to Huanglong Jiuzhai, around 150. ○ Shuttle Bus: Around 50, from the high-speed rail station to the entrance of Jiuzhai Valley. ○ Hotel: Hotels at the entrance to the valley are not expensive during the off-season. You can find decent chain hotels for around 200. ⏳Suggested Visiting Time: Two days are recommended. Jiuzhai Valley has three trenches. Although you can take the scenic area's shuttle bus, there's still a lot of walking, so one day might be rushed and tiring. 👍Most Recommended: My personal favorite lakes: Five Flower Lake, Five Color Pool, Pearl Shoal Waterfall, and Reed Lake. 📝Tips: Traveling during the off-season is quite affordable. I recommend visiting Jiuzhai in late November or late March. First, you can save a lot on tickets, especially if you plan to enter the valley twice (peak season tickets plus sightseeing bus cost nearly 300 yuan). Second, there are fewer people and the scenery is beautiful. These two periods are late autumn/early winter (you can see the fairy-tale Jiuzhai covered in early snow) and late winter/early spring (you can see the colorful Jiuzhai with blooming flowers).
